Graduate Accountant
As a Graduate Accountant you will play a vital role in supporting our finance department. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting practices within the NDIS industry, contributing to the financial health and success of our organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Finalize accounts and compile supporting documents for year-end closure of accounts. Prepare financial statements for presentation to management, board of directors, and shareholders
- Work closely with External Accountants to Prepare General Purpose Financial Reports and Company Income Tax Return in accordance with Tax and ASIC requirements
- Perform profitability analysis of each profit center (each group home) and perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual operating costs
- Administer and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Workman Compensation, Quarterly Superannuation Payments, etc
- Supervise end-to-end payroll function performed by outsourced payroll office. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with industry awards
- Ensure timely payment of all invoices, review outstanding balances, and resolve payment delays
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with MYOB or Xero is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in NDIS or Aged care Industry is advantageous
