Sansui AU-555A
A beautiful example of this classic amplifier, extensively restored by the renowned Sansui guru, Colin Pyle - Brisbane audio technician, including the well know Baxandall diode modication reducing the bass distortion and improving clarity.
We are moving house and down sizing, so I'm losing my dedicated music room(s) and regretfully letting go of a lot of my audio equipment. Price firm, happy to pass down to my son if it doesn't sell - it's too good! These amps travel well, I can pack very well and post for $50
Restoration details:
NEW PARTS INSTALLED.
Most electrolytics on main board, phono board, preamp, tone board replaced with Elna Silmic II. Transistors on these boards also replaced with gain matched equivalents. New transistors on main board also gain-matched for better stability and imaging.
